Programming Commands

When using Program & Reporting Functions, type the command then press <ENTER> to respond to LCD prompts.

PRINTER SETUP

 

PTREN Enable printer: A) Parallel B) Auxiliary C) SMDR (B & C are RS232DTE serial ports)
AUXIO Setup auxiliary port protocol


DISPLAY STORED DATA

 

SYS 1 touch button. Print system & port configuration, grace periods, markup/surcharges
VERSN Print system configuration & runtime versions, call storage, PBX type, PMS type
PFORM Print PBX format
PCONF Print grace period table
PALLT Print all tables
STATS LCD display peg count of the number of calls, extensions, accounts & trunks
PFMT Print PMS format, then program PMS or <enter> twice to quit


EXTENDED COMMANDS

 

XCMDS Change to ENTRY prompt from READY, PRINT or POST idle prompts to use the listed extended command mode functions
ICOM SMDR port protocol: Y = Auto-Baud, N = set protocol manually (recommended)
CFMT Program SMDR format: G = General, R = Record, S = Save, Q = Quit
PFMT Print stored interface format, then manually program PMS using flexible formatter
RATE Display rates per area code
PREC Display HEX and ASCII dump of input buffer call records
EXIT Exit from the ENTRY prompt to idle prompts: READY, PRINT or POST
DCMD While at the program mode of the XCMDS menu DCMD will disable command mode


PBX INTERFACE

 

LFMTR Select predefined PBX format: N = select PBX format manually(recommended)

Y = auto-learn

CFMT SMDR setup using flexible programming (see extended commands)
ICOM Set SMDR port protocol. (see extended commands)
INFEN Enable informational message pass through for wake-ups, message waiting and other switch data records that are not defined by PBX SMDR record criteria
INFDS Disable informational message pass through

CLREN Enable store call records (system generally is defaulted to store calls)
CLRDS Disable store call records
LOCAL Process and store local calls
NOLCL Discard local calls, do not process or store
PFLYE Enable Print-on-the-Fly
PFLYD Disable Print-on-the-Fly


NAME, DATE & TIME

 

CNAME Program/change name, address, telephone, etc. configuration data prints on reports
DATE Dmm/dd/yy enter (month / day / year)
TIME Thh:mm enter (hours : minutes use 24hr clock)


GRACE PERIOD

 

PCONF Print grace period table
CHMCD Change duration grace period table by call type (range, 0 – 180 seconds, 181 = drop)


PMS PROGRAMMING

The PMS flexible formatter is optionally available in V5.0 and above.

 

PMSIO Select PMS interface & setup Auxiliary Port protocol
PMSEN Enable post to PMS interface
PMSDS Disable post to PMS interface (prints calls not posted)
LPMSF Select predefined PMS format
PFMT Print & Program PMS format (see extended commands)


CALL PRICING & MARKUP/SURCHARGE

 

SURCH Markup surcharges by call type, all carriers all types
CARTS Print surcharges by call type, all carriers
CARTC Markup surcharges by call type, per carrier
TRKTA Markup surcharges by call type, per trunk
TRKTD Delete surcharges by call type, per trunk
Hx (1 – 13) Specific call type adjustment for % markup, 1st min. surcharge, overtime surcharge. x is the call type vertical table position, where 1 is local free and 13 is Intl Eq Acc 0+
RATSA Add or map new area codes and exchanges to price like programmed rate data
RATSS List of mapped area codes and exchanges
RATSD Delete mapped area codes and exchanges from RATSA table
TAXES Add sales tax: 300 = 3%, 643 = 6.43%, 1100 = 11%


DEPARTMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE EXTENSION

 

DPTTS Display the department
DPTTA Add a department and extensions by price: cost, markup, drop, cost do not post
DPTTC Change department name and pricing
DPTTD Delete a department
CBASE Reset department extension range base number (1000 # range, V4.3 or lower only)

LCD PROMPTS

 

READY> System will store call records only
PRINT CALLS> System will store and print calls on-the-fly, transparency is disabled
PRINT CALLS: System will store and print calls on-the-fly, transparency is enabled
POST CALLS> System will store and post to PMS
PRINT/POST> System will store, print and post to PMS
ENTRY> Program mode of the XCMDS menu, key in EXIT to return to Ready mode


RESET MODES

 

MODE 1 touch button. Temporarily stop audible alarm for 15 minutes
SLEEP Temporarily stop audible alarm for 15 minutes
INIT Soft reset of system, reset data ports, initialize data input buffers, restart processing
ESC 10 times Soft reset of system, reset data ports, initialize data input buffers, restart processing
RESET Momentary switch in back of system. Soft resets system, reset data ports, initialize data input buffers, restart processing
ZAPM Hard reset of system. ZAPM will erase all call record storage accumulators and all system memory including the programmed configuration. When the ZAPM command is used reprogramming the Summa Pro will be required


WARNING & ALARM MODES

 

Over Limit eeeee

Extension eeeee has reached its credit limit.

Printing Report Printer Problem

The Summa Pro alarm will sound for one second every 10 seconds until the parallel printer can resume. The system is trying to print a report, but there is a problem connecting to the printer. Reset printer and check cable, ribbon, paper, ready condition of printer, etc.

Ext eeeee Dialed 911

LCD screen indicates the extension that made a 911 call, a message will be sent to the printer and the Summa Pro alarm will sound for 20 seconds. Press enter once to clear alarm

### Unposted Calls

The Summa Pro has not posted ### calls to the PMS, alarm will sound for 1 second every minute. To clear condition: fix PMS interface, use warm reset or the PMSEN and PMSDS commands

No Calls For hh Hours

The Summa Pro has not processed SMDR for hh hours and the preset limit has been exceeded. Make a test call to see if it will process or correct the trouble (cable, port setup, etc.) To set the timer since last processed call in hours use: SSMDR hh (key in # of hours). To eliminate alarm & message use SSMDR <enter> 00 <enter>

Calls nnn% Full

SPro unit is near call storage capacity, use a clear command or DFULL to clearing and printing by call type of 35 to 100 calls by sort order. Print/ clear sort orders: oldest call (default), extension, account, trunk

No Aux Response Check Cables Or Esc To Abort

Remote access communication link not made, ESC will abort remote access attempt

Credit Alarm

When the extension is over current credit limit a new limit can be set. Use the command Lnnnn and program the new limit amount.

System Components

Summa Pro has an integrated keypad with 45 character alpha-numeric membrane and 10 quick function buttons for frequently used commands. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 4 line by 20 character. HD64180 microprocessor with real time clock. Factory installed software/ firmware package (10 year backup NVRAM chip carrier) containing the standard DDD rating for AT&T, MCI and Sprint. SMDR Cable and Printer Cable (parallel or serial) supplied and modem (optional). Audible and LCD alarm indicators. Lithium battery back-up should maintain call storage in the event of a simple power failure. The installer should provide the required printer and additional cables for PMS or printer interface. The AUX port PMS flexible formatter function and the Y-cable for a serial SMDR port PMS exception printer are additional cost, optional items. A parallel printer is highly recommended

AC Power Source

For reliable service the Summa Pro system requires a dedicated and grounded three pronged power outlet 117 VAC +/- 15% 60HZ, it has less than a 100mA draw, source should be six feet from of the Summa Pro and an UPS (uninterruptible power source) is highly recommended.

PRINTER Centronics type standard parallel printer connector and interface.
SMDR RS232 DTE-25 pin male connection for PBX SMDR and serial printer, 300 - 9600 baud. (A parallel printer is recommended.)
AUX RS232 DTE-25 pin male connection for auxiliary port connected to a PMS with compressed or full handshake protocol or a serial printer, 300 – 9600 baud.
