Purpose

The output option is used to tell the Prophet-H whether:
  • It is communicating with a Property Management System (PMS) or Printer/ Touchpad.
  • To store Guest and/or Admin calls for the nightly audit report or just print "On the Fly" as calls are made.
  • The printer is located on the System port (for printer/touchpad operation) or SMDR port (for PMS operation).

Numbering Scheme

The following option numbers, when added together, produce the required output to meet installation requirements.

  • 00 - Print calls immediately "On the Fly"
  • 01 - Forward calls immediately to PMS
  • 02 - Printer is on SMDR port for PMS operation
  • 04 - Store Guest Calls for "On Demand" or Nightly Audit Report
  • 08 - Store Admin Calls for "On Demand" or Nightly Audit Report

Example: If both Guest room and Admin calls were to be stored for the nightly audit report, then options 04 and 08 are added together to produce option 12 which is programmed into the Prophet-H.

Property Management Systems require that option 01 be set and since the serial printer will be moved to the SMDR port, option 02 must also be set. Setting the output option to 03 meets this requirement.

Use <ESC> <SHIFT #> followed by the two digit Output Option Number to set the desired output configuration. Note that all PMS options are ODD numbers and when a PMS is used, the printer is installed on the SMDR port using the Y cable provided.
